A compelling and historically rich mid-century British pharmaceutical bottle, manufactured by the renowned Boots Pure Drug Co. Ltd of Nottingham, England. Standing at 9.2cm tall with a slender 2.5cm cylindrical diameter, this clear glass specimen features deep archival embossing on its base: "UGB" (United Glass Bottle Manufacturers Ltd), alongside the specific glassworks mold codes "M584 / C41". The bottle retains its original white paper label, enclosed in a crisp black border. The typography displays the formula name: "GLYCERIN OF BORAX. B.P.". Of significant social and medical history interest, the label features period application advice: "DIRECTIONS / For the Treatment of Trush [Thrush] in Infants, apply Frequently to the affected places and around the Mouth and Tongue." The historical typo "Trush" offers a delightful, authentic glimpse into mid-century packaging processes. The flask comes complete with its original black plastic screw cap (unsealed) and still contains its vintage medicinal fluid formulation inside. Condition: The glass body and the vintage black screw cap are in excellent, sound condition. The original paper label is complete, firmly affixed, and fully legible; it shows beautiful, authentic age-toning and light historic silvering that perfectly reflects its decades-old journey. The original internal fluid remains present. A brilliant, thought-provoking display piece for advanced collectors of social medicine or historic British chemistry. Dimensions:
