MUSEUM-GRADE ANTIQUE ENAMELED CHLOROFORM INHALATION BOTTLE WITH ORIGINAL FLUID (c. 1890s-1910s)

PRICE: £140
A spectacular and highly coveted Edwardian clear glass surgical apothecary bottle, once deployed for one of medical history's most famous general anaesthetics: Chloroform. Standing at 13.5cm tall, this rare specimen features a highly specialised surgical silhouette. The main body stands at 9.5cm before elegantly tapering inwards over a 2.5cm conical shoulder to meet a remarkably narrow neck—a precise design engineered for the drop-by-drop dispensing of volatile liquids directly onto inhalation masks. The front of the bottle boasts a premium white enameled shield cartouche baked directly into the glass. The clear glass has been expertly left exposed to display the bold, unmistakable typography: "Chloroform". Unlike paper labels that degrade, this permanent vitrified enamel remains as striking as the day it left the workshop. Of ultimate rarity for an advanced private gallery or cabinet of curiosities, this jar retains its original ground-glass stopper, permanently sealed by time and chemical fusion. Trapped inside is approximately 2cm of the genuine, crystal-clear historic liquid formulation from over a century ago—a breathtaking survival that elevates this piece from a simple container to a true capsule of historical narrative power. Condition: The clear antique glass is in pristine condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, or surface clouding. The enamel label remains complete, sharp, and beautifully preserved. An elite, museum-quality showpiece serving as the perfect crown jewel for a discerning medical history or Scientifica collection. Dimensions:
