PRICE: £110
An extraordinary and highly collectible 21cm tall Early Edwardian clear glass apothecary bottle, showcasing a brilliant feat of historic pharmaceutical engineering. The front of the jar features an elegant, deeply wheel-engraved double rectangular border framing the flawless Latin inscription: "GLYCERIN: PUR:" (Pure Glycerin). Because glycerin is a highly viscous substance, this bottle features a remarkable, fully operational double-glass closure system. The main ground-glass stopper extends into a sophisticated 7.2cm tall inner burette with an integrated pouring spout for precision dispensing. This intricate system is crowned by a magnificent, bulbous outer glass dome cover designed to protect the delicate spout from dust and atmospheric contamination. Condition: Offered with genuine antique utility wear. The clear glass body and the intricate inner pouring burette are in flawless condition, which is exceptionally rare for such a delicate mechanism. The outer bulbous protective cap shows several authentic historical chips around its bottom rim; however, this does not compromise its stability or its stunning mechanical silhouette. A museum-grade narrative piece offering immense academic and aesthetic appeal for an advanced curiosity cabinet. Dimensions:
