PRICE: £22
A remarkably complete and highly graphic mid-century British pharmaceutical artifact. Standing at 12.8cm tall, this clear glass bottle features a rectangular base measuring 4.5cm by 3.0cm with classic chamfered (beveled) corners. The front face of the glass is boldly embossed with the famous branding: "SLOAN'S LINIMENT". The reverse face and flanking sides retain the original, expansive off-white paper label. The central panel features a striking black header housing the brand name in clean, non-serif typography, directly above the iconic trademark portrait of the heavily moustachioed Dr Earl S. Sloan and his printed cursive signature. The lower text confirms its British manufacture: "Prepared by Dr Earl S. Sloan Limited, London, W.E., Made in England". The side panels remain fully legible, detailed with historic "Directions for use" on the right and "EXTERNALLY recommended for..." application parameters on the left. This rare archival specimen is complete with its original black screw-cap closure and still retains just under 4cm of its authentic, vintage amber-coloured medicinal fluid inside the chamber. Condition: The glass structure and black screw cap are in excellent, sound condition. The three-panel paper label is beautifully preserved with crisp, perfectly legible text; it exhibits only minor, authentic peripheral chips and light age-toning that enhance its genuine historical character. The original internal liquid remains stable. An outstanding, deeply atmospheric showpiece for collectors of historic patent medicines or curators of mid-century apothecary displays. Dimensions:
Please note: This historical artifact is sold strictly as a decorative and collectable object for display. It contains genuine decades-old chemical compounds and is not intended for any modern medical, cosmetic, or practical use. Shipping Information:
