VINTAGE BRASS CLEAT

Picture
This remarkable heavy brass cleat, once part of the Uruguayan warship Uruguay, is a true piece of maritime history. It was presented to Sir Eugen Millington-Drake in 1963 by Ricardo Fillroy, making it a significant artefact with a fascinating provenance. The cleat was later inherited by Jill Quaife, who generously gifted it to Graham Aston in July 1996. This unique item not only represents a connection to naval heritage but also carries with it a story of ownership and legacy.
In excellent condition, this brass cleat would make a stunning addition to any collection or a thoughtful gift for a history enthusiast. Don’t miss the opportunity to own a tangible piece of the past!
